Well I guess we should be by now considering I’m 39 weeks pregnant tomorrow. Yikes!!
I’m almost afraid to say we are about ready considering how much has gone on in the last 2 weeks to prevent it.
After our plumbing debacle our house was a wreck and I was terrified of bringing a baby home to that mess. Lucky for us Tony’s mother also didn’t want to see her new grandbaby come home to that disaster. She took one look at the photos I posted of our insanity and booked a flight out from Minnesota. She entered our house like a tornado and spent the next 5 days completely whipping it into shape. She cooked, cleaned, froze meals, scrubbed, organized, rearranged furniture and tested the absolute limits of our washing machine.
By the time she left I felt like our house was actually ready for it’s newest inhabitant!!!
But as soon as we felt ready Tony received a little eye injury at his shop and ended up having to go to the emergency department at Johns Hopkins with a corneal ulcer. The last 3 days have been pretty rough for him and we actually spent this afternoon back at the E.D. since it seemed to be getting worse. I’m hopeful that the worst of it is behind him though and hopefully in the next couple days he will be back in fighting shape.
In the meantime we are trying to tie up some loose ends, finish the baby’s room and enjoy our last week(s) as a family of 2.
