The most perfect weekend ever

When we planned our wedding we knew it needed to be more than just one day.  We knew how quickly it would all be over and we needed more time .. time to hang out with our family.. time to make meals and play cards.. time to roast marshmallows and watch movies .. time to make memories.

So we rented a house in Cambridge, MD .. a big house right on the Choptank River where we could park our cars and not leave for 4 days.  It started as a random vacation rental that was found on the internet.  But now this house means so much to us and I know we will be visiting it again .. many times.

We will be getting lots of amazing wedding photos from The Parsons very soon so in the meantime we want to share all the images Tony and I took over the rest of the weekend

the best weekend ever.

Ashley and Jeremy Parsons stayed at the house with us for 2 nights.  They are now a part of our family.

My sister Sara putting together our wedding cake.

Tony’s mom, Julie, surprised us with coffee mugs for everyone to use over the weekend.  It was a hilarious surprise and we LOVED it.

The day after our wedding we all stood out on the pier while Uncle Terry baptized Baby Brooke. It was quiet and gorgeous outside.

Thanks to modern technology her other grandparents were able to witness the whole thing through Skype.

Over the course of 2 days I got a husband and a god-daughter.   Life is good.

Although this is when I told Brooke she had to come live with us now .. She was less than thrilled.

G.G. cleaning last nights mud from the bottom of my wedding dress.

I could sit by this fireplace every night of my life.

Davey took the below photo.

And now that I’ve relived this weekend through photos I want to go back and do it all over again.
